Editing Member Profiles

Update member information and manage profiles.

1 min read Updated Feb 02, 2026

Administrators with edit permissions can directly modify member profiles without going through the request system.

Permission Required: Editing profiles requires the edit_user permission. There's also a separate edit_user_notes permission for notes-only editing.

How to Edit a Profile

  1. Find the person in the directory and tap to open their profile.
  2. Tap the Edit button (pencil icon) in the top-right corner.
  3. Modify the fields you want to change.
  4. Tap "Save" to apply changes immediately.

Editable Information

As an administrator, you can edit all profile fields including:

  • Contact information (phone, email, address)
  • Personal details (name, birthday, gender)
  • Family relationships (spouse, children, parents)
  • Church information (membership date, baptism date, roles)
  • Employment details
  • Admin notes (visible only to admins)
  • Profile and family photos

Notes-Only Editing

Users with edit_user_notes permission (but not full edit_user) can only modify the admin notes field. This is useful for staff who need to add pastoral notes without access to personal information.

Tip: All profile edits are logged with timestamps and the editor's name, so you can track who made what changes.
